The foundation of photography and of life is the same for both: Keep showing up! Keep going back through all the seasons. Squeeze the good/mine the gold from every scene. And keep looking for scenes. Arthritic knees make getting there iffy these days, but I still look for scenes, walking through the neighborhood, sitting in my back yard. I'm on the sidelines, but still in the game. And I have expanded the game to include examining everything, exploring, investigating, inquiring, holding all of it up to the light, looking for what I can see, seeing what's what and what it means, and what it might mean beyond the obvious. Always probing and poking around wondering what else is there, and what questions need to be asked that haven't been asked. Including, what connections can be made that haven't been made? Always seeking what else there is to see.

The stunning Highlands scene is the perfect illustration for this poem. Slowing down is a great thing!

Thank you for these inspiring words. There is always exploration; sometimes in search of meaning, and other times for the richness of just doing so.
Brilliant and insight.
