Lake Matin Sunset Mirror –Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

This Blog Post is a co-creation between Jim Dollar and Gemini the Chrome AI:

Our idea of reality has little in common with reality itself. When we look outward, we are simply seeing our own projections—interpreting the universe through the lens of our assumptions and desires. To reset the scenes that compose our lives, we have to recognize them as extensions of ourselves, woven from preference and imagination. In a sense, we are all fictional characters participating in our own production: extemporaneous actors picking up each day right where we left off on the set of the universal Improv Theater. And while we can scarcely believe it is so, we can just as little prove that it is not.

I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
