Wizard Island–Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

The Tao is the natural flow of things, how things are, the way things are expected to be. Being aligned with the Tao is being at home with how things are done and are fluent with how things follow each other and able to dance with any tune the band might play next. Being comfortable with the moment and ready for the twists and turns of time and place. At home with ourselves and at peace with the world. The key to which is the perspective, perception, viewpoint and outlook with which we view the events of the day, every day.

I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
