Finding our way to The Way one situation at a time. I don't know how great it will be, but I expect it will be interesting, and I look forward to it going on past all reason because wonder is just that way. Are you coming or not?

Anything is bearable with meaning,
nothing is bearable with out it.
We are alive,
vital
and vibrant
with meaning.
Dead,
empty-eyed
and vacant
without it.
Where do you find meaning
in your life?
How often do you relish
and enjoy it?
Spend time with what is meaningful.
Do the things that are meaningful.
Give meaning the central place
in your life.
Worship meaning.
Adore meaning.
Celebrate meaning.
Commune with meaning.
Meaning is the elixir of life.
Immerse yourself in meaning daily.
And be aware of the things
that erode your connection with meaning.
Withdraw your affiliation from them.
Spend as little time as possible
in their company.
I do not watch television,
and get along just fine without it.
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters and five granddaughters within about twenty minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
