Finding our way to The Way one situation at a time. I don't know how great it will be, but I expect it will be interesting, and I look forward to it going on past all reason because wonder is just that way. Are you coming or not?

Why wouldn't we make our best effort
at living the best life possible
under the circumstances?
Why give it less than the best we have to give?
In the service of the best
we are capable of imagining?
Why not care about the life we are living?
And the people we are living with?
Why not see what needs to be done
and do it?
With the gifts we have to offer
to the task?
In each situation as it arises?
Our life is slipping by--
why hold anything back?
Why not treat everybody
as though they are somebody?
Why treat anybody
as though they are nobody?
Why not live like we mean it
while we have the opportunity?
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters and five granddaughters within about twenty minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.

How we treat other people says everything about who we are and think we are!
