Finding our way to The Way one situation at a time. I don't know how great it will be, but I expect it will be interesting, and I look forward to it going on past all reason because wonder is just that way. Are you coming or not?

We could talk about
"God's will for our life,"
and we could talk about
"Our life's will for itself."
And we could wonder,
"Where does the line lie
between That Which Has Always Been Called 'God,'
and us?"
And I would say,
"There is no line!"
I would also add,
"We are as close to God
as it is possible to be."
And,
"We are extensions of God,
God in human form,
just as Jesus was,
and all human beings have been
since the beginning of human beings."
And,
"We are put here
to do what needs to be done,
when/where/how it needs to be done,
and to let that be that,
anyway, nevertheless, even so,
as our gift of self
to other selves
and all sentient beings
in all times and places."
And,
"How do you think we are doing
with that?"
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.

Trying to see the Face of God in every person I connect with today. Searching for oral surgeon with that in mind. Silly?
Dear Jim, Your daily reads have meant so much to me. Between you and Richard Rohr, I have discovered a way to relate to God that embodies: “We are extensions of God,God in human form, just as Jesus was,and all human beings have beensince the beginning of human beings. For me it’s the only God-in-me-inclusive understanding of relating to God. Before He was Up in Heaven. Then there was hell, when I and many others know there is also hell-on-earth for some people (Drugs, depression, etc.). So I just keep plugging in to each day and see where it takes me. Thanks again! Plugging into each day and seeing where it takes us, is so the Way! No expectations, no agendas, no plans, no opinions, just wonderment and fascination, radiance and amazement, day-to-day!
