Easr Fork, Little Pigeon River — Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cosby, Tennessee

It would be better if we had better choices. The choices we have, and have had, are and were the only ones available at the time, and we did, are doing, the best we can do with them given the circumstances we are working with. And the ony suggestion I can make to us all for improving what we have to work with here on out is to improve the quality, and quantity, of silence in our life. The higher the quality and greater the amount of silence in our life will make all the difference in our opportunities and outcomes. And our luck will improve within two weeks.

I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
