We enlarge our perceptions,
expand our perspectives,
by avoiding the trap
of the same old same old
and doing things
we have never done before.

What is the newest thing
in your life?
How often does new drop in for a visit?

Change for the sake of change
will change things you never
would have thought about changing.

Shake up your life every six months.
Just to see things differently.
And to change your mind
about how things are.

I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
