Let come what's coming, let go what's going, and let that be that. That is pretty much how turtles and giant sequoias do it. And moose. And opossums. Human beings, not so much. We have ideas of how things ought to be that make it difficult to accommodate ourselves to how things are. We want more than we have any business having. And our way! Who lives these days without endlessly striving to have their way? Be a stream flowing along with no idea of having its way and always having it. Always going where gravity and conditions/circumstances require going, and always getting there. Be a cork on the water, a leaf in the wind. What do corks and leaves care? One day is as good as another to a pig and a mongoose. They never even know what day it is! It's like being always retired to them. My Way! My WAY! NOW!!! Never occurs to them.

Hi Pete–It’s good to talk with you. I wish we could do it over a cup of coffee from time to time. The disappearance of text has been going on for three or four weeks now. The people in charge say they are aware of the problem and working on a fix. The only work-a-round available, so far as I know, is to go to https://wordpress.com/view/jimdollarsphotographyandphilosophy.com and then to the drop-down menu. Too many hoops to start the day! I trust your family is well. We added a grate granddaughter a few weeks ago, and enjoy watching the birds (And an occasional racoon) at the bird feeder. I hope there is a fix soon.

Hi, Jim – I’ve solved the problem by clicking on the date above your name and photo in the email. This brings me to your original post in WordPress, which I find easier to view and can make a comment. Also, there’s a link to your previous post (on bottom left) or your next post (on bottom right). That helps maneuver more quickly through your various posts. I hope this helps other people, too.
