Climate change changes everything.

And Fie! Fie! on all the politicians
who were bought by the fossil fuel industry
to oppose all legislation that would 
have made the difference for the good
over the last 50 years, or so, worldwide.

Given a choice between the long term good
and an immediate profit,
politicians will go for the profit,
or enough of them will to constitute a majority.

Fie! Fie! on politicians worldwide!

We need leaders who are capable of leadership.
But only those who are capable 
of taking payoffs are interested in the job,
or enough of them to constitute a majority.

And the rest of us are left with cursing 
the fate that has brought us to the brink
of self-destruction of the entire planet
for the price of the short term profit
of a few people
unworthy of the term "human being."
