Rocky Mountain Mirror — Yellowhead Mountain, Mt. Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia
Finding the way
is waiting to see
what is called for
and doing that
as it needs to be done,
when and where it needs to be done
all the way along the way.

If we don't know what is called for,
we wait for clarity.

Everything flows from
and leads to clarity.
And it only take waiting
to know what that is.

This is the way cats do things.
They spend most of their time
waiting for clarity.

The older we get,
the more time we spend
waiting for clarity.

Though it is best
to not do that
at traffic signals.

I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
