Finding our way to The Way one situation at a time. I don't know how great it will be, but I expect it will be interesting, and I look forward to it going on past all reason because wonder is just that way. Are you coming or not?

If Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbot, and their clan hold the slightest attraction,
the barest fascination, for you,
what are you doing reading this?
You belong to the Anti-Woke segment of society,
and should be chanting the chants
and waving the flags of your kind.
You should be lapping up the drivel and the slime
of the people with all the answers,
spewing hate and vindictiveness,
wallowing in misinformation,
alternatives to truth
and alternate facts,
and looking for people to pin it on
("It" being everything you hate,
detest
and blame for things being the all the ways
you want nothing to be).
You should all pack together,
run together,
and fall off the waiting cliffs together,
because that is the quickest route to waking up,
seeing what's what
and realizing what you are doing and have done.
Everyone wakes up eventually
at the end of some rope,
at the bottom of some wall,
in the grip of some demonic fend of reality
crashing their party
with the truth of their utter abandonment of truth,
compassion and grace,
the ghoulish nature of their being,
and the utter void surrounding them forever,
knowing no one can save them from who they are,
and are of all people the most to be pitted.
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters and five granddaughters within about twenty minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
