We are in a hurry
for things to be
as we want them to be.

Magic wands were invented
to rush things along--
in a "Serenity NOW! DAMNIT!!!"
kind of way.

We do not want to wait
for what we want!
Because it might not be
what we want!
And we want to be SURE 
it is what we want.
NOW!

And here we are.

Nothing changes until we do.
And we don't change
until we change our mind
about what is important.

Nothing will be different
until we are different.
Which means handing over control.
Surrendering what we want
in the service of what needs to happen-
in a whole-hearted,
total commitment,
"Thy will, not mine be done,"
kind of way
(With "Thy" being the way things need to be
for the good of the whole
in each situation as it arises,
throughout the rest of time).

It is amazing how well things work together
when nothing is striving to have its way
at the expense of everything else.
