I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing. I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters and five granddaughters within about twenty minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything. Hi Wanda! It’s good to hear from you–hope you are staying well and safe. I just read a stat that said 40% of people infected with Covid are asymptomatic and never know they have/had it. Now, I’m thinking how many of those people wear/wore masks? And I’m thinking some more, “Staying away from people is our only chance of staying safe.” It’s working so far with me!

Jim. STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE!! That truly is our only hope. We definitely are on our own in this. Not even like the great depression where you might’ve been able to ask a neighbor for an egg or a bit of flour. We have to stay away from them too!! Much love & may we both continue to find contentment… best to the family, e$

We can only get it from someone who has it. And no one knows who that could be–including 40% of those who have it. What this means is clear. We are all in quarantine. Those who recognize this and live as though it is so go to the head of the line, wearing a mask and social distancing. Be safe! Stay well!
