The path to "having life and having it abundantly"
is always right here right now.
We are standing on it,
in the dead center of it.
It is waiting for us to open our eyes,
see what we are looking at,
and do what needs to be done about it
when/where/how it needs to be done
in each situation as it arises,
out of our own balance and harmony,
at one with ourselves,
our original nature
and our innate virtues/character.

Being ALIVE starts with and flows from
and leads to
balance and harmony,
sincerity and integrity,
spirit, energy and vitality.

Live from there and do what is called for
moment-to-moment,
and you will be as ALIVE as you can be
in each situation as it arises,
all your life long.

I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
