Finding our way to The Way one situation at a time. I don't know how great it will be, but I expect it will be interesting, and I look forward to it going on past all reason because wonder is just that way. Are you coming or not?
Trump wants to be great, but he is only pitiful. The Beatles somehow channeled him with their song, “Nowhere Man”: “He’s a real nowhere man, living in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody.”
He is great only in his imagination.
Living in their fantasy world is what schizophrenics do best. Where do their fantasies end and reality begin? They don’t know. And that’s a problem, No?
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.

Just want to affirm “waiting in the silence.” I did so today although I planned much wishing and wanting and doing, but the cold and rain drew me back to bed. Yesterday, I had talked to Melanie Bassett about letting me take her to the doctor for a blood pressure check today as she was feeling “wonky,” but I guess you know how independent she is (I am too), and she refused me with thanks. I thought no more about it, and seemed chained to my bed in exhaustion. It was as if I were held down by a dream.
At exactly one o’clock, the phone rang, and Mel asked if she could get a ride at 2:30. I said, “So THAT is exactly why i am still here at home. I can’t wait to tell Jim Dollar!” Doing the right thing at the right time. Sounds silly the way I explain it, but it wasn’t.
You need not answer this affirmation. Please spare yourself.
There are forces at work in our life beyond explanation. Nice going in being there, doing that, exactly as called for and needed to be done! May we always be With the Force!
