How long will recovery take? Nothing Trump is doing will reduce that time. And, if we think about recovery worldwide, from The Amazon, to Gaza, and Palestine... the time frame just gets ridiculous.
Why do we live in ways that do not enhance life? What are we living for in ways worldwide that do not enhance life?
What are we seeking short term that destroys life and life's joy long term?
I am living what remains of my life in protest and renunciation.
I'm going to sit in my chair and look out the window in protest and renunciation.
Which will be completely futile. Exactly as everyone else's life will be. Which is the point. I call it "Calling Attention To Futility By Living Futilely."
I'm retired, and still finding my way--but now, I don't have to pretend that I know what I'm doing.
I retired after 40.5 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, serving churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. I graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. My wife, Judy, and I have three daughters, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a great grandson on the way, within about ten minutes from where we live--and are enjoying our retirement as much as we have ever enjoyed anything.
